The abnormal pressure can come from different aspects of your day to day activities. Such as extra workload, transitional period, arguments, and existing worries related to you.
All these stresses have a cumulative effect on you, with each pressure building on top of the other. And your body might create a stress response, you might be upset and loose the glowing you. Stress affects you in a number of ways, both physically, emotionally and in varying intensities. It is challenging to look for an effective stress reliever to restore your physical health and well-being. Though ancient yet effective, Ayurveda has a best solutions to keep your stress away.
Ayurveda understands what effect stress has on you and it helps you restore your inner peace without shrinking your alertness and to balance our modern day busy life and get back to a calm state of mind. It is worth taking out time to learn different techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, restore calm and enhance alertness.
Follow healthy routine
Vata governs the flow of thoughts and memory across our minds, food from our digestive tract, omitting waste product, blood flow and our breath. Vata is responsible for all movement that happens in our body. And so if we start overthinking, or travel often, or stress out because of exams or consume vata-aggravating diet all these can lead vata to lose balance. If your daily schedule is all spilt it can create more action and movement in your daily life. So to control this excess movement create a proper schedule that can serve your life properly.
As recommended by Ayurveda experts you should go to bed early (go to bed by 10:00 p.m.), wake up with the rising sun and eat meals at the same time every day. For breakfast, you should at least consume 700 calories. Your breakfast should always be heavy as it helps your body restore essential carbohydrate required for our brain to function and provides us with energy to get through the rest of the day. Lunch and dinner should be light and easy to digest and also include small meals in between.
Get more sleep
Lack of sleep is one of the significant causes of stress. And unfortunately, stress interrupts our sleep as the thoughts keep orbiting around, and stops our brain from relaxing. As recommended take seven to eight hours of sleep daily. Keep your mobile phones aside, dim the lights, and allow your body to relax before going to bed. It is one of the most effective and important stress busters.
Meditate to keep stress away
A day’s stress can be wiped off through meditation, bringing inner peace along with it. Meditation has been in practice for decades and it has shown effective results in relieving from stress. It is considered a type of complementary medicine for mind and body. So wake up early and find a quiet place to sit, close your eyes, take a deep breath and let oxygen flow through your brain and open up your hearts. Kick start your day with positivity.
Consume healthy food
Proper diet and stress levels are closely connected. Well-nourished bodies can easily cope up with physical and mental side effects of stress. At times it happens, people tend to eat more or less when they are in stress. Eat healthy breakfast and consume more carbs, proteins, and healthy fruits and vegetables. Do not skip any of the three meals and also include snacks in between that will keep you high on energy the whole day. And also minimize the intake of sugar and caffeine as it may not help you gain but reduce more energy.
Keep yourself hydrated
As you all know it is recommended to drink 10-12 glasses of water daily. But do you know drinking cold water can prevent the natural flow of movement in your body? According to Ayurveda Agni or the digestive fire helps in digesting food and it has the ability to burn our physical and emotional stress and also balance it. And therefore the natural temperature of Agni nourishes well with warm water. Ayurveda recommends drinking a glass of warm water in the morning, which helps to remove toxins, to support proper digestion and to keep Vata strong and even.
Breathe fresh, stay away from stress zone, practice meditation, include other exercise habits in your daily routine, listen to music, eat healthy, stay hydrated and stay fit.
